Hair Care Instructions
A licensed hair stylist who has ample experience with Indian Remy Hair is recommended; this is because not all hair care professionals have the knowledge and expertise of working with Indian Remy Hair. Choose your stylist wisely as they will be key in providing the adequate installation and maintenance procedures for your Indian Remy Hair. With the correct care and maintenance our hair can last you upwards of one full year. Here are some tips to ensure that you get the most out of your luscious locks.

General Maintenance
  • When combing, use a blunt wide tooth comb.
  • When brushing, use a vent brush.
  • Avoid brushing or combing abrasively. This will protect the construction and installation of the hair.
  • When combing hair, start at the bottom working your way to the top (end to root).
  • Comb hair to remove any tangles before washing it.
  • Wash and condition your hair with high quality moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, at least once per week.
  • Use a mild shampoo with a PH balance of no higher than 7.
  • Wash your hair in one direction (top to bottom), as opposed to in a circular motion or back and forth; this will prevent tangles.
  • Wash and condition the hair immediately after swimming in salt water or chlorine pools.
  • Always rinse hair thoroughly and let it air dry, then style as desired.
  • Don’t overuse styling products. Too much moisturizer for example, can cause build-up, leaving the hair gummy and weighted.
  • You can perm, straighten, curl, bleach and/or dye your Virgin Indian Remy Hair as if it is your own natural hair. However, it is best to consult a professional for how to’s and maintenance if you lack experience.
  • Flat Irons, curling irons, and rollers are all great styling tools. However, you must be sure that you don’t use excessive heat, as doing so can damage the hair in the same way that it would damage your own natural hair. Also, excessively high heat may change the natural texture of the hair permanently.

Please Note:  It is always best to ask the stylist that applies your hair for instructions on how to maintain your look.

Wavy/Curly
Daily Maintenance

  • Apply some leave-in conditioner and/or use a plant spray bottle with water to damp hair.
  • Avoid applying an excessive amount of product to maintain a fresh, lively look.
  • Comb or brush hair from bottom to top (end to root).
  • Style and let hair dry naturally.
  • If you use a heating tool to dry or style hair make sure you do not use high heat.
  • When going to sleep, brush the hair and then braid it in 1- 4 large braids then either secure hair beneath a silk scarf or sleep on a silk/satin pillowcase. This will ensure that in the morning, your hair will be easy to groom.

Straight Hair
Daily Maintenance

  • Comb or brush hair from bottom to top (end to root).
  • If you use a heating tool to straighten the hair make sure you do not use high heat.
  • When going to sleep brush or comb your hair and secure under a silk scarf. This way your hair will be easy to groom in the morning.

APPLICATION METHODS
Sew In Method
There are two options available for the Sew In Method. Extensions can be applied in a manner in which the entire head is covered; this is called a Full Head Sew In. Or it can be applied in a manner in which just a few wefts are placed in between the clients own hair, which is referred to as a Partial Sew In. For either method you must create thin cornrows with the clients’ own hair. These extensions will then be sewn to the cornrows with a hair needle and hair thread using the cross stitch method. This popular method typically lasts 2-3 months before being having to be removed or re-done.

Netting Method
This technique requires that the client’s hair be braided in to fine cornrows. However, because the extensions are not limited to being sewn to just the cornrows, the cornrows do not have to be going in any specific direction and do not have to be as fine as with the traditional sew in method. A thin net is sewn to the cornrows and then the extensions are sewn to the net. This method offers much more flexibility in terms of styling and fullness of the finished effect. It is also an excellent method for clients with thin or balding hair who are not candidates for a traditional sew in. This method typically lasts about 2-3 months.

Bond In Method
This technique does not require any cornrows as the wefts are either glued in pieces in between the client’s hair or used to fully cover the clients hair once secured back in a ponytail or stocking cap. This is the fastest application method as it can take less than 1/3 of the time of the previous two, however, it also lasts the least amount of time. Depending on the type of glue used and the frequency of the client’s shampoos after installation, this method can last anywhere between 1-6 weeks.

The texture is incredibly soft.

Why is Indian hair the best Remy Hair?
Indian hair is the finest Remy hair that is available in the market. That is because of the fact that most Indians, (especially women) have naturally long shiny hair. Moreover, most of them never use any chemicals to treat their hair so the quality is excellent. Because they never bleach or color it, the hair is known as Virgin Remy hair.

Where do you get this Virgin Remy Hair from?
India, as you know is primarily a Hindu country. And many Indian women donate their hair to show respect to their Gods. They sacrifice their ego and vanity by cutting their hair in temples all over the country. Since the entire head of hair is cut, you get long and continuous hair unlike those that you get from salons and other sources.

Why is Indian hair better than their Chinese counterpart?
As said before, Indian women tend to have naturally black and healthy hair. Those in the rural parts don’t even use harmful shampoos and conditioners on their hair but instead maintain them with natural methods. On the other hand, Chinese hairs tend to be coarser and thicker and do not offer as much styling flexibility as Indian Virgin Remy Hair.

Do you directly source from India or buy through distributors?
When you buy from us, you buy products that come straight from our factory located in India. And we source our products straight from the temples like the famed Tirupati temple which is visited by 20 million pilgrims every year, many of which end up sacrificing their hair to fulfill a vow.

Why is your product better than others?
Apart from the fact that when you buy from us, you get the famed “temple hair”, there are many more reasons for doing business with us. For starters, we do not use cheap detergents to wash the procured hair; rather only expensive shampoos, conditioners and deep moisturizing methods are used to wash the hairs before being sold.
Furthermore, when we get the hair we separate all the split-ends, damaged, and chemically treated from the Virgin hairs. That is why when you buy 100% Virgin Indian Remy hair from us you truly get 100% Indian Remy hair!

Is there any way I can check your product before purchasing?
We always follow an open door policy; so if you’re in the East, come and visit our factory in India. In addition, you can contact us directly regarding obtaining a sample.

How much hair do I need?
If you are getting a full head sewed in, the average person needs about seven ounces of hair; some will need more, while others may need less. It is best to buy two bundles to make sure you have enough. You can always use the leftover hair later. If you are using hair over 18" long you might need another bundle. If you are getting tracks one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18" hair length. If you are getting the hair bonded one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18" hair length.

Can I color this hair?
Yes, you can color our 100% Virgin Indian hair and our Remy Temple hair products. It is best to consult a reputable stylist to complete the coloring process, if you are not experienced in coloring Indian Hair extensions. Generally it is advised to make any major color changes before having your extensions applied.

What type of hair care products should I use?
Treat this hair as if it is your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable, so use leave-in conditioners. You can also use products like gel and hair spray to keep the curls in place, but make sure to wash your hair and not leave in these products in for a long time.

How long does it last?
This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you maintain it. Treat it with as much love and care that you treat our own hair and it will last you an exceedingly long time. Many hair stylists prefer Indian hair because it is beautiful and the best quality once can often last over 1 year which is longer than any other kind of hair.
